SITE CHARACTERIZATION
THE PROCESS OF CHARACTERIZING A GIVEN SITE CAN INVOLVE MANY TYPES OF INVESTIGATIONS. DEPENDING UPON THE COMPLEXITY OF THE PROJECT, THE LEVEL OF EFFORT INVOLVED IN SITE CHARACTERIZATION CAN RANGE FROM A SINGLE, HIGHLY FOCUSED SUBSURFACE INVESTIGATION TO A MULTI-PHASE EVALUATION OF THE GEOLOGICAL AND HYDROGEOLOGICAL CONDITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SITE AND SURROUNDING AREA. WE OFFER A WIDE VARIETY OF SITE CHARACTERIZATION SERVICES, SEVERAL OF WHICH ARE SUMMARIZED.

Subsurface Investigations

In order to meet the demand for high-quality, cost-effective investigative services, EGS offers a wide-range of techniques to evaluate the subsurface conditions of a given site.  From basic direct-push soil and ground water sampling to non-invasive geophysical imaging, we match the right equipment with task at hand, ensuring that our clients’ needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.

We offer comprehensive, full-scale investigative services, however; EGS believes in using a practical phased, iterative approach whenever feasible.  We believe that by starting each project with the end in mind, the use of smaller, more focused investigation efforts can often be an effective way to reduce costs, while answering questions that drive the investigation.
